Fall Colours and Migrations

September 18, 10am to 2pm, Environment Day, Scarborough This event is hosted by Councillor Gay Cowbourne. It’s your chance to pick up free leaf compost, purchase a rain barrel and water efficiency kit, exchange your blue and green bins, and drop off recyclables, including household hazardous wastes, clothing, containers, and more. September 25, 10am to noon, Fall Colours and Migration, Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area, Stouffville Rd. & Warden Ave. As the days get shorter and the temperatures lower, leaves begin to change colours and migrating birds start their long trip to the southern states and beyond. Join conservation staff for a guided hike and birds of prey demonstration. Improve your tree and bird identification skills while learning how native flora and fauna prepare for the coming winter.
