Today nasty weather prevails in Toronto

Today the weather in Toronto is nasty. Its been raining in the morning and was quite windy. It seems the fall in on the door. The maple have started changing the colours. I wish to buy a digital camera next week. My choise is either the Canon or Olympus with 10 X optical zoon. The puropse for this is to record the changing fall colours. The area where I live is full of desidous broadleaves.Posted by Hello

Fall Colours and Migrations

September 18, 10am to 2pm, Environment Day, Scarborough This event is hosted by Councillor Gay Cowbourne. It’s your chance to pick up free leaf compost, purchase a rain barrel and water efficiency kit, exchange your blue and green bins, and drop off recyclables, including household hazardous wastes, clothing, containers, and more. Toronto residents can attend any Environment Day event, not just the one in your ward. For more information, call the Events Hotline at (416) 392-9585, or visit www.toronto.ca/environment_days. September 25, 10am to noon, Fall Colours and Migration, Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area, Stouffville Rd. & Warden Ave. As the days get shorter and the temperatures lower, leaves begin to change colours and migrating birds start their long trip to the southern states and beyond. Join conservation staff for a guided hike and birds of prey demonstration. Improve your tree and bird identification skills while learning how native flora and fauna prepare for the coming winter. Bring bird and tree field guides and binoculars if you have them. Please register to reserve your spot. Call 416-661-6600, ext. 5660.
