(India Business Insight Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, Government of India has decided to revive all the five units of Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd (IDPL) at Gurgaon, Chennai, Hyderabad, Rishikesh and Muzaffarpur. The plants will be made compliant with Schedule M before Apr 2006. A sum of Rs3 crore has been released for redeveloping the Rishikesh, Gurgaon and Chennai plants.
A sum of Rs1 crore has been sanctioned for Muzaffarpur plant.

IDPL is revived after distroying the lives of more than 6000 employees and their dependent family members. I would like to point out that employees of IDPL were compelled to opt for VRS under the threat of retrenchment and for ULTIMATE CLOSURE OF IDPL during the year 2003, with a megre amount calculated on 1988-90 wages.In this way 100% employees had opted this COMPULSARY RETIREMENT scheme IN THE NAME OF VOLUNTRY, and some 250 employees were retained to complete the process of CLOSURE. I regrett to mention that CLOSURE of IDPL never taken placed. A few who have not opted this scheme were retrenched by the IDPL management, how these democrates and Corrupt Indian Judicery claiming this scheme as VOLUNTRY.
Now when there is no employee remain in IDPL where is the need to revive IDPL and if GOI has revived IDPL with out its closure why employees of IDPL were forced to quit IDPL at the age group of 40-50, at the peak when an employee start planning for future needs of his GROWING CHILDREN and to fullfils his/her social liabilities(higher education/marriages of growing children, shelter of his own).
It is shamefull on the part of Indian Democrate who beg vote with folded hands on the doors of innocent AAM AADMI and forget Insaniet soon after election.
Now IDPL is going to recruit fresh manpower and a NGO in league with ministry of C&F above the age group of 60 are enjoying the command of IDPL. Producing medecines on LOAN LICENCE from private manufactures. NGO above the age group of 60 are competent and eligible to run the IDPL. On the other side employees who are 45-55 are not capable.
